7 Nights Luxor

 Here is a suggested itinerary for a 7 night trip to Luxor. I am flexible with the trips we do, depending on the particular group that is there. There are options in the free afternoons to visit more unusual sites off the tourist track. We normally stay at the St Joseph hotel or the Mecure Luxor, depending on availability.

Day 1 - Flights from Gatwick  to Luxor 
Eve Free
Day 2 - AM- Luxor Temple
PM- Free (Mummification Museum after 5pm)
Day 3 - AM - Karnak Temple
PM – Free (Luxor Museum after 5pm)
Day 4 - AM - Medinet Habu & Ramesseum (Camel ride to Colossi of Memnon option)
PM – Free (Sety I Mortuary Temple optional)
Day 5 - AM - Deir el Medina & Valley of the Nobles
PM – Free (Optional trip to palace of Malkata)
Day 6 - AM - Valley of Kings (3 tombs + Ay + Tutankhamun)
PM - Free
Day 7 - AM – Deir el Bahri & Valley of Queens
PM - Free
Day 8  -  Flight Luxor to Gatwick
Free until 4pm departure

7 Nights Cairo

We would stay at a 4-5 star hotel in Giza, and could make a trip to Amarna and Beni Hasan for one night.

Here is a typical itinerary for a 7 night Cairo trip. As with the Luxor trip this is flexible and sites can be added/subtracted according to interest.

Day 1 - Flight – Heathrow – Cairo
Arrive - Eve Free
Day 2 - AM- Egyptian Museum
PM- Free
Day 3 - AM – Giza Pyramids
PM – Giza plateau tombs
Day 4 - AM – Saqqara, Memphis and tombs
PM – Free
Day 5 - AM – Train/taxi to Amarna, town and tombs
PM – Overnight at Al Minya
Day 6 - AM – Beni Hasan tombs
PM – Return to Cairo
Day 7 - AM – Dahshur, Meidum, Abu Roash pyramid complexes
PM - Citadel
Day 8 - Flight Cairo- Heathrow
Free until departure
