About Me
Life Prosperity and Health!!
I'm Charlotte Booth and I am here to offer you my expertise
in Egyptology. I did both my Bachelors and my Masters degree in
Egyptian Archaeology at University College London and started
teaching for Birkbeck (University of London) as soon as I had
graduated. My focus of study at University was the Hyksos period
of Egypt and I have given talks, and prepared articles on this
little studied area. I have been giving talks for nationwide Egyptology
Societies since 2000 and have covered, in this time a wide array
of subjects. Click Here for more information.
In 2002 I started doing guided tours to Luxor, initially as a follow on to my classes at Birkbeck and the WEA, but now I think my method of tour guiding should be open to a wider variety of people. Click Here for tour details.
I have been interested in Egyptology since I was a small child and the body of "Ginger" at the British Museum is one of my favourite stop off points on my British Museum Guided Tour. Click Here for Museum Tour information.
Over the last couple of years I have watched with interest the growing awareness of the general public to all things Egyptian. As I am sure you are aware there are numerous TV shows and spin-off books currently on terrestrial and Sky television and I applaud this coverage.
In my classes and guided tours I acknowledge new theories whilst presenting all the evidence for and against these theories allowing you to make an informed decision of your own.
All of my tours (museums and Egypt), and classes are aimed at the inquisitive and I try and present you with information that you may not be aware of rather than providing the same information as other tour guides and standard publications.
